We often say that the kitchen is the gathering place and heart of the home.
The kitchen cares for it’s residents, welcomes home returning family, extends hospitality to friends, and creates a space for new community. Are any of these things true for your home? It is for most of us, especially this time of year.
’Tis the season to prepare hams and casseroles and to bake cookies. To welcome family in from near and far. To gather together and enjoy the gift we have in each other. The gift in having a space to gather.
Stock up the fridge. Decorate your space. Bring out the casserole dishes. Heat up the oven. Set the table with a few more places than usual. And when you do––pause.
Pause and enjoy. Take a deep breath of the savory smells. Look around at the people gathered around your table. Pay attention to the flavors we enjoy only once a year.
Here at Lynch Construction Group, we spend a lot of time in kitchens. Dreaming, designing, renovating and creating. We love it.
But this week, we’re grateful to sit back and think about all of our clients in their kitchens, and enjoy being in our own. We have much to be thankful for.
Merry Christmas, from our family to yours!
