Ryan Richard is one of our newest employees, but his journey to Project Manager at Lynch Construction Group started a while back.
A Background in Residential Construction
Ryan began framing houses in 1997, and shortly after, he joined the National Guard and went to basic training in order to pay for college. The unit he joined was an engineering battalion, where he specialized in carpentry and masonry.
After basic training, he was both studying as a full-time student at LSU and working a full-time job framing houses. He worked for himself for three years doing residential remodeling when he was deployed to Afghanistan.
When his deployment ended, he continued his residential remodeling business and his education at LSU, pursuing a degree in Construction Management.
Soon after graduating in 2007, he received a position at DSLD Homes, building more than 500 homes between 2009 and 2016 in 9 different jurisdictions in Louisiana.
Transitioning to Lynch Construction Group
Ryan met Robert Lynch, owner of Lynch Construction Group, a few years ago and was hired to work on a several custom home projects.
“I was really impressed with the quality of the homes he was building,” said Ryan.
He wasn’t the only one impressed. Ryan has been our Project Manager since February of this year.
He manages the building process of each new home here at Lynch Construction Group, interacting with trade partners and vendors to hand over a great product to a happy buyer.
He loves how custom home building and renovation can help make a home owner’s dream become a reality.
When asked what his favorite thing is about working at Lynch Construction Group, he responded, “My favorite thing about working for Lynch Construction is the trust and confidence Robert has in me as his Project Manager. Robert is a great businessman and takes a lot of pride in making sure all his buyers get what they want, and some. He is a great person to work for and I’m blessed to be a part of this company.”
